In an interview with The StarKamarudin, 22, shared that when the breakup occurred in Oct. 2024, Ghufran had only 500 Malaysian ringgit (around $118) in his bank account.
“How can you take care of someone with that amount? You shouldn’t be marrying. You should be looking for a job or continuing your studies,” Kamarudin, 29, said.
The couple had been together for a year before getting engaged in May 2024.
Kamarudin also claimed that after their split, Ghufran gained access to her TikTok account and posted fake comments under her name, aiming to damage her reputation. One comment allegedly stated that Kamarudin had not moved on from the breakup and was taking medication for stress.
She said she had filed a report at a local police station regarding the alleged hacking.
“When Muntazar and I were still together, we’d share the passwords to our social media accounts. After we broke up, I changed my passwords and removed all access,” she explained. “He wasn’t like this before and only began showing his true colors after the split.”
In response, Ghufran denied that financial issues were the cause of the breakup. In a separate interview with The Star, the actor explained that he had other financial assets, including investments in unit trusts.
“I already told Saidah about it, but she said that’s investment savings and not actual money,” Ghufran clarified. “If it’s true that I only have 500 Malaysian ringgit in savings, how am I able to pay nearly 1,000 Malaysian ringgit monthly for my car and also send around 1,000 Malaysian ringgit to my family?” he added, questioning Kamarudin’s claims.
At 29, Kamarudin made her acting debut in 2019 and has since appeared in several films, including “Remang” and “Akira Khan.”
