This conclusion of the data has been received by Neeraj Kumar Singh, a researcher of Language University, on completing his research work. The head of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of the University, Dr. Neeraj, who completed his research work under the direction of Ruchita Sujay Chaudhary, has concluded this by survey during Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections 2022. In the research work on ‘Study of Facebook’s influence on the political consciousness of highly educated students’, he interacted with the young voters of Lucknow city to investigate, test and understand their political understanding. At the same time, a thorough analysis was done on the Facebook page of the major political parties of the state, the Bharatiya Janata Party, the All India Congress, the Samajwadi Party and the Bahujan Samaj Party. The researcher found that the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad is very active on social media.

Talking about social media innovations, the researcher found that the photo sharing app Instagram is becoming very popular. Instagram is the first choice of 88 percent respondents between youth, especially between 17 and 26 classes. The analysis revealed that Facebook is the first choice of Millionaires (born in the 90s).

However, research emphasizes that the social media, which determines the choice of the youth from the likes and dislikes to the food, is not able to make him a voter as a responsible citizen. Only 48 percent of the youth involved in the research survey voted in the recent election.
