Earlier, authorities discovered that Khanh’s group was running a large-scale operation producing fake motor oil. Khanh allegedly led the scheme, renting a house in District 12, where he purchased leftover oil, blended it, and repackaged it into bottles bearing popular brands such as Castrol, Motul, Honda, and Yamaha.
After sealing the products with counterfeit labels and packaging designed to resemble authentic goods, Khanh and his accomplices sold them online through Shopee and Lazada.
Following an investigation, authorities arrested Khanh’s group on Wednesday while they were transporting counterfeit motor oil on Le Thi Anh Street in District 12.
