‘FIR not lodged against Virat Kohli…’ Police statement on complaint about cricketer

Virat Kohli News: Police are tightening the screws one by one on those responsible for the stampede outside the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. In this case, an FIR has been registered against RCB, KSCA and DNA. Along with RCB’s marketing head Nikhil Sosh, many people have also been arrested. Meanwhile, a police complaint has also been filed against Indian cricketer and RCB team member Virat Kohli. However, the police have not registered an FIR against the legendary cricketer.

In fact, social activist HM Venkatesh has filed a complaint against Virat Kohli at Cuban Park Police Station in Bengaluru. Venkatesh said, ‘IPL is not a game, but a form of gambling that has contaminated cricket. Virat Kohli is the most prominent face of the RCB team and is involved in this gambling. He has demanded Kohli and his team RCB to be accused in the FIR and legal action against him. According to a news agency, police officials said that the complaint lodged against Virat Kohli would be reviewed under the investigation of the current case. No separate FIRs have been filed against him so far.

Let us know that on June 4, 11 people died in a stampede outside the Chinnaswamy Stadium, while more than 40 people are said to be injured. After this incident, action is being demanded against those responsible. On the next day of the stampede, on June 5, the police registered an FIR against RCB, DNA Entertainment and KSCA in attempt to murder, illegal gathering and other serious sections. In this case, senior RCB officer Nikhil Sosale and three event management have been arrested.
