New Delhi: Popular television actress Dipika Kakar has captured the hearts and concerns of fans recently, following her diagnosis with Stage 2 liver cancer and a subsequent major surgery performed on June 3. As the beloved star continues her recovery in the hospital, her husband, actor Shoaib Ibrahim, offered a touching glimpse into their resilience, sharing a photo of their heartwarming Eid celebrations from within the hospital walls.
In his most recent vlog, Shoaib provided a crucial health update for anxious fans, confirming that Dipika has now been moved out of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and is making a recovery. While this year's Eid festivities were understandably quieter for the couple due to the circumstances, the outpouring of love and support from their family remained abundant.
Shoaib took to his Instagram stories to share a particularly special moment: a photo of a shiny envelope, held by both him and Dipika. This thoughtful gesture, as he revealed, was a special "Eidi" (a gift given on Eid) sent by his father, ensuring they felt the warmth of the festival despite their hospital stay. Shoaib captioned the story, “Dipi aur mere liye papa ki taraf se eidi aayee. Eid Mubarak.”
Dipika Kakar's Health
Dipika had earlier opened up about her diagnosis in a candid Instagram post, writing, “As you all are aware last few weeks have been quite difficult for us... walking into the hospital for a pain in the upper area of my stomach... and then finding out it's a tennis ball size tumour in the liver and then finding out that the tumour is Second stage Malignant (Cancerous)... it has been one of the most difficult time we have seen, experienced!”
