
Roger Johnson was forced to interrupt the normal schedule to bring viewers the latest BBC Breakfast coverage live from Los Angeles, USA, as violent protests broke out over immigration overnight.
The scenes saw masses of people gathering in the streets of Paramount after many law enforcement agencies had been taking measures under 's administration, who had been given clear instructions to deport immigrants in the country.
On day two of the unrest and immigration raids, Roger handed over to correspondent Regan Morris, who was live from LA, in the hope of getting a better understanding of what was happening.
She explained that the US President had deployed 2000 guardsmen to carry out the task, which had since sparked public outcry. One clip showed a number of people standing in front of a moving bus "carrying detained immigrants".
Regan explained that locals had reported they were "staying locked inside, terrified that they would be deported".
