The possibility of rain with strong winds and lightning has advised people to remain alert. This seasonal change will also affect Haryana, Uttarakhand, and other states, where the weather may turn harsh due to cyclonic circulation and western disturbances.
According to the IMD, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand may receive rains accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds from June 11 to 14 under the influence of cyclonic circulation and western disturbance.
Heavy rains are expected in northeastern states like Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura from June 10 to 14. Apart from this, winds at a speed of 50-70 km per hour can blow in some areas of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand, and West Bengal. Dust storms are expected in western Rajasthan from June 8 to 11.
The Meteorological Department has appealed to people to be cautious and follow the guidelines of the local administration. Especially those living in low-lying areas have been advised to be alert to dangers like waterlogging and floods. The rainy season will continue in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands from June 9 to 12.
