NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded positive around 11:13AM(IST)on Monday in an upbeat market.
Laurus Labs Ltd.(up 2.82 per cent), Biocon Ltd.(up 1.19 per cent), Natco Pharma Ltd.(up 1.02 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 0.94 per cent) and Ajanta Pharma Ltd.(up 0.93 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.47 per cent), J B Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 0.32 per cent), Lupin Ltd.(down 0.24 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(down 0.11 per cent) and Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 0.06 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was up 0.3 per cent at 21748.9 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 121.91 points at 25124.95, while the BSE Sensex was up 377.38 points at 82566.37.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 35 were trading in the green, while 15 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, Reliance Power, Suzlon Energy, YES Bank and JP Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Hybrid Financial Services, Indef Manufacturing, Sudarshan Chemical, MCX India and Shankara Bldg Prod hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Varanium Cloud, Techindia Nirman, SKIL Infrastructure, Shree Ram Proteins and Uma Exports hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
