General Dwivedi's Visit to Forward Posts

On Monday, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Upendra Dwivedi conducted a review of the security situation by visiting forward posts in Uttarakhand. This visit aimed to assess the operational readiness of troops stationed in high-altitude areas.

During his visit, General Dwivedi engaged with personnel from the Indian Army and the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), commending their exceptional dedication and resilience while performing duties under harsh and challenging conditions.

Earlier on Sunday, General Dwivedi praised Operation Sindoor, describing it as a powerful testament to India's unity, resolve, and confidence. Speaking during the inaugural podcast of the community radio station 'Ibex Tarana' in the Garhwal region, he emphasized the precision and effectiveness of the operation, which showcased the strength, discipline, and responsibility of the Indian Army.

The COAS remarked, "Operation Sindoor was not merely a military response; it was an expression of India's unity, determination, and confidence. The government granted us complete strategic freedom, and the trust shown by the citizens became our source of inspiration. We successfully destroyed nine terrorist hideouts without any civilian casualties, demonstrating that the Indian Army is not only powerful but also responsible."

Describing Operation Sindoor as a well-planned, precise, and capable response to terrorism, he added a poignant cultural note: "I want to say one more thing: because of the name of Operation Sindoor, whenever a mother, sister, or daughter applies sindoor, she proudly remembers our soldiers. Terrorism will always receive a fitting response. We remain vigilant, capable, and fully prepared at all times."
