

Manchester City will send a player on loan to Lyon as part of the deal that will see Rayan Cherki (21) join the Premier League side, according to The team. The outlet reports this Monday that the Cityzens and Gones have reached an agreement for the France international’s transfer to the Etihad Stadium. Cherki is set to sign a five-year contract with Pep Guardiola’s Skyblues pending a medical.
The team has given further precisions regarding Cherki’s transfer. Lyon are expected to bank a €40.5m transfer fee and a further €2m in performance- add-ons for their Academy product. Gones have also secured a 15% sell-on percentage fee clause on future profit made by City if and when they sell Cherki on. Furthermore, the outlet adds that Manchester City have committed themselves to sending a loanee to Lyon for next season. The player’s identity is yet to be disclosed.
