Empowering Farmers' Families Through New Initiatives
In Jewar, the foundation of the Noida International Airport is now shifting its focus towards enhancing the livelihoods of the farmers' families who agreed to part with their land for the airport's construction.
On June 9, 2025, a new employment portal was inaugurated by Jewar MLA Dhirendra Singh, CEO of the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority Arun Veer Singh, and District Magistrate of Gautam Buddh Nagar Manish Kumar Verma. This initiative aims to fulfill the promises made to farmers by providing job opportunities for their children. The portal was launched at the site of the Noida International Airport, where online forms will be filled out for the children of affected farmers through camps. This employment portal is specifically designed for the families who consented to give their land in the first phase of the airport project. It will offer job opportunities based on qualifications in local and other industrial units, along with skill development for the youth.
During the launch of the online employment portal, MLA Dhirendra Singh stated, "This initiative is not just about compensating for the land taken for the Noida International Airport, but a significant step towards improving the living standards of the families of the farmers. We promised the farmers during land acquisition that they need not worry about their children's future. Therefore, this employment portal is a milestone in fulfilling that promise."
CEO Arun Veer Singh emphasized that the employment portal will play a crucial role in connecting affected youth with job opportunities in a transparent and efficient manner.
District Magistrate Manish Verma mentioned that the administration has prepared a database of the children from affected families, ensuring that all impacted farmers will soon benefit from this employment portal. Officials from the Noida International Airport were also present at the inauguration.
