Police have descended on the Northern Ireland town of Ballymena for a second night of rioting. Footage shared online shows masked protesters hurling fireworks, glass bottles and other objects at riot police and PSNI vehicles.
Responding, the PSNI have used a water cannon on a protest in the Clonavon Terrace area.
Violence broke out following a peaceful protest on Monday in response to an alleged sexual assault. Police said 15 people were injured in the chaos which was described as "racist thuggery" aimed at ethnic minorities and officers.
Riot authorities have been re-deployed to the County Antrim town tonight and police have advised members of the public to avoid the area.
