Here we are talking about the Korean thriller Train to Busan which debuted globally and garnered a very positive reception in India as well. Released in 2016 this action horror movie has also been frequently aired on television. With a rating of 7.6 on IMDb it centers around a high-speed train. Many passengers aboard the train are on their way to visit family or friends. However an incident occurs that leads to a catastrophic event. Train to Busan features international actors such as Gong Yoo Jung Yu-mi Ma Dong-seok and Kim Su-an. The Storyline of Train to Busan The plot follows a journalist who lives with his daughter. She is planning to visit her grandmother and her father often neglects her but decides to accompany her on the train to Busan. At one station an infected individual enters the train. Subsequently chaos ensues as the infected person transforms into a zombie. Gradually those on the train become victims of the zombie infection. Gong Yoo and Ma Dong-seok take action to help the survivors. However before reaching its final course both actors die while fighting a horde of zombies. In the end Gong Yoos daughter and Dong-seoks pregnant wife are the ones who make it out alive. The military targets the entire train and destroys it with a blast. Due to the films success the creators produced a sequel titled Train to Busan Presents: Peninsula which unfortunately did not perform well and became a disaster. The original film was a significant commercial success grossing $98.5 million worldwide (around Rs 819 crore) with $80.5 million coming from South Korea $2.2 million from the United States and Canada and $15.8 million from other regions.
