Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU) has officially started the registration process for HPCET 2025 counseling. Candidates who have passed the entrance exam can now register for counseling through the official website himtu.ac.in. Let us inform that candidates can register for this till 30 June 2025.
HPCET 2025: How to register
Step 1. Visit the official website himtu.ac.in.
Step 2. Click on the HPCET 2025 counseling registration link.
Step 3. Enter the required credentials and upload the required documents.
Step 4. Pay the application processing fee, if applicable.
Step 5. Submit the form and take a printout for future reference.
HPCET 2025: Admission Process and Seat Allotment
For admission to the B.Tech programme, HPTU has specified that 50 per cent of the seats will be filled based on the merit obtained in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main, while the remaining 50 per cent seats will be allotted based on the merit of HPCET 2025.
Applicants who obtain the minimum qualifying marks in JEE Main 2025 or HPCET 2025 are eligible to participate in the counselling. Additionally, candidates must ensure to submit their registration details and documents on time before the deadline.
HPCET 2025: Counselling Registration Fee
Candidates applying for HPCET 2025 counselling will have to pay a non-refundable processing fee of Rs 1,600 if they belong to the General, Other Backward Classes (OBC) or Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) categories. For candidates from Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Below Poverty Line (BPL) backgrounds, the fee has been reduced to Rs 800.
Those applying through both JEE Main 2025 and HPCET 2025 will have to pay the applicable fee. However, as per the official guidelines, candidates applying exclusively through HPCET 2025 are exempted from this fee.
