Every time NARS comes up with a new product or a new collection, we’ve got tons of things to say about them, along with the excitement to try them, of course. This time around, it is a limited-edition summer collection.
You’ve got sun-kissed tones and a vibrant packaging that does catch the eye. But does it all come together as we’d like? Well, let’s find out.
Reviewing the Hot Summer Escape collection ft. NARSIf you’ve been an avid user of NARS and swear by some of their viral products, you might be in for a treat with the all new ‘Hot Summer Escape’ collection.
I tried a few products from the range, and here’s my honest review.
1. NARS Hot Escape Cheek Palette, Rs 4,300 Credit: Sephora
The idea of these cheek palettes is pretty interesting, and when I first saw them, they looked chic and how. Right from the packaging to how they’ve made sure to have options available for varying skin tones, it is quite an interesting mix.
I tried the Hot Escape Cheek Palette II, which is a medium option and the shades include Dominant (hot pink matte), Topless (shimmery peach with gold), Electra (yellow gold highlighter), and Laguna 03 (medium tan matte brown).
The formulation of these palettes is to die for, TBH, because they’ve got the finest in the market at the moment. While they may be limited edition, they are here to stay, for sure!
P.S: Yes, these are my favourite from the lot.

2. NARS Hot Escape Afterglow Lip Oil, Rs 2,500 Credit: Sephora
The colour range for these lip oils is pretty interesting, I’d say. I tried the shade ‘Orgasm’, which is a shimmery pink in gold, but when applied, it is pretty transparent.
If you’re looking for a lip oil, which has a colour pay-off, these might not be the right pick. But if you’re looking for one that sits comfortably and isn't sticky, then these are great.
They work well on the formulation front, but slightly fall short on the pigments.

3. NARS Total Seduction Eyeshadow Stick, Rs 2,800 Credit: Sephora
Eyeshadow sticks are on the rise, and the shades that they’ve got as part of this range are quite beautiful. However, while they are long-lasting, you need to apply them quickly, as they will settle soon.
I tried the shade ‘Mind Games’, and the pigment is really solid—a beautiful chocolate brown that will work with most Indian skin tones.
These might seem a little pricey for that range, but if you don’t like to work with full-blown palettes, these sticks do come in handy.
