Arsenal hold a 40% sell-on clause on Nuno Tavares, so Lazio demanded €40m from Al-Hilal.
Lazio made Nuno Tavares’ loan move from Arsenal permanent last week, but the Biancocelesti are open to listening to offers for the Portuguese left-back.
Al-Hilal offer for Nuno Tavares

Sources with direct knowledge of the matter tell me that Al-Hilal offered €25m plus €5m in add-ons for the former Arsenal and Nottingham Forest defender in recent days.
The Saudi side, coached by Simone Inzaghi, are looking for a left-back in Serie A, having also held talks with Theo Hernandez (Milan) and Angelino (Roma).
Lazio set Nuno Tavares asking price

Sources tell me that Lazio rejected Al-Hilal’s offer as the Biancocelesti had set the defender’s price tag at €40m.
Other clubs interested are expected to face the same demand from the Bianconcelesti, especially because Arsenal have a 40% sell-on clause, so Lazio won’t let the 25-year-old leave cheaply.
Nuno Tavares provided nine assists in 30 appearances with Lazio in 2024-25. The Bianconcelesti have appointed a new coach for 2025-26, replacing Marco Baroni with Maurizio Sarri, who had already coached the team from 2021 to 2024.
