Suspense crime, Digital Desk : New Delhi, India – Following a significant disruption at Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International (SVPI) Airport, the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Air India have released dedicated helpline numbers to assist passengers affected by widespread flight delays and diversions.

The travel chaos was triggered on Thursday morning when a small training aircraft, a Beechcraft Super King Air, veered off the runway during takeoff. While both pilots on board were unharmed, the incident forced the immediate closure of the airport’s main runway, halting all operations.

This shutdown had a major ripple effect, leading to the diversion of at least ten flights to nearby airports, including Mumbai, Vadodara, and Udaipur. Airlines such as IndiGo and Akasa Air were among those forced to reroute their aircraft, leaving hundreds of passengers stranded or delayed.

In response to the disruption, authorities have established channels to provide information and support to travelers.

Helpline Numbers for Affected Passengers:

Ministry of Civil Aviation: +91 1124671666, +91 8800184450

Indian water: +91 1242641407, +91 2026231407, +91 4440013030

Passengers are advised to contact these numbers for the latest updates on their flight schedules and for any necessary assistance.

Meanwhile, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has launched an investigation into the cause of the training flight mishap. Airport authorities are working to clear the runway and move the disabled aircraft to resume normal flight operations as soon as possible.
