Shoppers looking to switch broadband providers can currently tap into one of many switching rewards offers from UK providers such as the likes of EE and Virgin Media hand out freebies to consumers. Now, Plusnet is offering up to .

Plusnet offers one of the cheapest full fibre connections - - but there's the added incentive to switch to the Yorkshire-based internet provider thanks to its Reward Card scheme.

Once shoppers have moved over to Plusnet, on some plans, they'll be able to claim a reward card worth up to £75. Rather than this being money bills, it's sent as cash to spend, like shopping or a meal for the family. The reward card is a pre-loaded Mastercard, so you can spend it anywhere that accepts Mastercard.

This doesn't apply to all broadband plans, and you'll have to see what is available in your area, but it's a great incentive to switch, pocket the reward, and get yourself a cheaper deal.

Plusnet offers full fibre broadband at up to 900Mbps speeds, which is where the largest rewards are. Switch to the (£36.99 a month) and you'll get a £75 reward card.

There's a £50 reward card available on the Full Fibre 500 plan (£31.99 a month) and a for those who switch to the Fibre package (£24.99 a month). This last package is slightly different, as it's only part fibre - you'll have to check your postcode to find out what services are available to you.

If you're interested in the Plusnet Reward Card, then you'll have to move fast, as the offer expires on 2 July 2025.

The 900Mbps service would download a typical HD movie in 10 seconds, the 500Mbps package would take 19 seconds, while the 74Mbps entry-level service would take about 2 minutes and 9 seconds for the same download.

While the cash back offers might sound tempting, there's another great deal from Plusnet that's worth considering. The company is offering a double speed deal, where you'll get 145Mbps speeds, for only £1 more a month than the 74Mbps package. At , this deal matches "lowest price" offer, and both are the same speed.

Plusnet is well-known for its Yorkshire "that'll do" adverts, promising a simple approach to broadband. That's obviously paid off, because a tells us that customers are 91% satisfied with their experience with Plusnet, higher than BT or Sky Broadband.

On top of that, Uswitch has recognised Plusnet in the prestigious Uswitch Awards for three years running, while it's also a Which? Recommened Provider. That's should give some peace of mind in choosing a service away from big names like BT, EE or Virgin Media.

That's not exactly how the broadband provider fares on Trustpilot, where 77% of reviews for Plusnet from over 11,000 customers are negative. That's not the finding that comes from , but it's worth bearing in mind that Sky Broadband, BT Broadband and Virgin Media all have shocking Trustpilot scores, while and - both smaller and newer broadband suppliers - have much higher scores.

If you've been with your broadband supplier for some time then it's worth considering if you can find a cheaper deal elsewhere. Switching is new really easy thanks to which came into place in 2024.

All billpayers have to do is speak to their new provider and everything will be taken care of, but ensure they are not locked into an existing deal, as this often comes with an early termination fee. Some providers will pay that termination fee for you, , Plusnet isn't one of those brands.
