Lizzo said she's happy being 'fat and beautiful' - she's just proven herself wrong

Super huge pop singer , who was forever posting naked pics of her incredibly obese self, has spent years telling us all how much she loves being fat. "I love it," she says. "It doesn't bother me because I'm fat and beautiful. I'm proud of my body and my body type will be the beauty standard others emulate."

Why then has she suddenly lost shedloads of weight and is strutting around in tight leather corsets showing off her slimmed down body and talking about her "weight release"? The thing is, I never believe morbidly obese people when they say: "I'm fat and happy." No one is.

They just can't or won't do anything about their weight and so they pretend to be proud of it. Despite all her protestations, Lizzo clearly wasn't, hence the gargantuan weight loss.

She won't say exactly how much she's lost or how (Mounjaro?) but says: "I want to be very intentional about the words that come out of my mouth because there are young people out there watching me and experiencing what I'm putting into the world."

So, why doesn't she stop faffing about and tell them the truth - that obesity is debilitating, it saps your self-confidence and it's bloody bad for your health.

I like Strictly's and but why the hell are they being given a gong in the Honours List?

They present a dance show, for God's sake, and they get paid very handsomely for it. Surely those who deserve honours are ordinary people who do extraordinary things - for no personal reward. That's the kind of people Britain should be celebrating, not overpaid TV stars who happen to present a show Queen Camilla likes!

Actress Cynthia Nixon - Miranda Hobbs from Sex and the City - has been moaning that the show was "too white". Oh, do shut up, you ridiculous woman. It wasn't so white that it stopped you earning multi-millions from it and gratuitously taking your clothes off for your multiple graphic sex scenes!

Fashion designer Karen Millen has been savaged this week for daring to suggest mothers who breastfeed their babies up to the age of three and beyond are "weird and selfish". Karen had been talking on Vanessa Feltz's show about a woman in the US who still had her rather large three-year-old on the teat.

Sorry, but that IS a bit weird. Having a two-stone toddler completely and utterly dependent on his mum? Who does that benefit most?

Because of the abuse and the social media savaging Karen's had at the hands of other mums - and what does that say about them and their nurturing compassionate natures - she's now apologised. But why? It's her opinion.

Yes, breastfeeding in the first few months of a baby's life provides the perfect balance of nutrients, helps with cognitive development and boosts the baby's immune system. It's also good for mum as it reduces risk of breast and ovarian cancers.

But the disadvantages of going beyond three years are also clear. It can suppress ovulation, dad can't be involved in feeding, it can be painful, women get infections and they can't go back to work even though many need AND want to.

I've listened to women who say while, yes, breast feeding forms a strong bond with their baby they also feel stuck and trapped. They can't go food shopping, they can't go out and they can't work because they feel they have to be on call 24/7 to feed their child.

Millen should have stuck to her guns and not capitulated to the mob and their abuse. Mothers, whatever they do, suffer enough condemnation from the outside world. They shouldn't be turning on each other because they have differing opinions.
