

T20 Mumbai League 2025: MSc Maratha Royals, captained by Siddhesh Lad in the final match of T20 Mumbai League 2025 played on Thursday at Wankhede Stadium, won the title by defeating Shreyas Iyer’s Sobo Mumbai Falcons by 5 wickets. The match was played in the presence of India’s first World Cup winning players Kapil Dev, Dilip Vengsarkar, and 2024 T20 World Cup winning captain Rohit Sharma, with a crowd of around 29,000 spectators.
T20 Mumbai League 2025: Falcons’ innings – Tandel and Aghhav handled Naiya
Falcons started bad while batting first. Angkrish Raghuvanshi (7) and Ishaan Mulchandani (20) were dismissed early. Captain Shreyas Iyer (12) and Amog Bhatkal (16) also could not do anything special. Vaibhav Mali bowled brilliantly and sent Raghuvanshi and Iyer to the pavilion. The score was 72/4, then Mayuresh Tandel (50)* And Harsh Aghav (45)* By making an unwavering partnership of 85 runs, the team took the honorable score to 157/4.
T20 Mumbai League 2025: Chinmay Sutar’s innings won
In response, captain Siddhesh Lad (15) and Sahil Jadhav (22) made a fast start from Maratha Royals. This was followed by Chinmay Sutar (53 runs, 39 balls) handled the innings. Chinmay first shared 41 runs with Sachin Yadav (19) and then 63 runs with Awais Khan (38 runs, 20 balls) to take the team closer to victory. However, in the last two overs, Karthik Mishra dismissed Awais and Chinmay and thrilled the match. But Rohan Raje finished the match with four balls remaining in the first over in the final over.
T20 Mumbai League 2025: Tribute to Ahmedabad plane crash victims
Prior to the match, players and spectators paid tribute to the victims of the Ahmedabad plane crash. All the players wore black armband and showed this message on the screen of the stadium: “Our prayers are with the victims of today’s accident. Remember them with silence and solidarity.”
