Türkiye’s Presidency Communications Directorate’s Center for Combating Disinformation (DMM) on Sunday dismissed as false social media claims alleging that “part of Israel’s civilian aircraft fleet had been stationed in Türkiye.”

In a statement, the DMM emphasized that the reports circulating on various social media platforms about Israeli civilian aircraft being deployed in Türkiye are entirely baseless.

“There are no Israeli aircraft at our airports or in our hangars,” the statement said. “Türkiye has terminated all flights and aviation activities with Israel following that country’s inhumane and brutal attacks on Palestinians.”

‘No civil or military aviation activity between Türkiye, Israel

The DMM underlined that there are currently no civil or military aviation activities between Türkiye and Israel. It also noted that Israeli officials are not permitted to use Turkish airspace—a position previously reflected in media reports.

“We urge our citizens not to give credence to manipulative reports and remind that publishing such claims may result in legal consequences for the individuals or organizations involved, as they could pose a threat to our national security,” the statement said..

Türkiye combats baseless claims

Since the escalation of hostilities between Israel and Iran on June 13, the Communications Directorate has been refuting a series of claims, including allegations that the cybersecurity system of the Turkish Armed Forces’ General Staff had been handed over to a company allegedly linked to the Israeli military.

Türkiye also firmly denied that radar data from the Kurecik Radar Base was being shared with Israel.

The conflict between Israel and Iran began early Friday when Israeli forces launched airstrikes on Iranian military and nuclear facilities, killing several senior commanders and scientists. Iran retaliated with missile strikes, and Israeli operations have continued.

Israeli authorities said at least 13 people have been killed and more than 370 injured in Iranian missile attacks since Friday.

Iranian officials reported at least 78 people were killed on the first day of Israel’s assault, with further casualties—including children—on the second day of strikes.
