Career In Medical: The results of NEET-UG i.e. National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Undergraduate have come and for some candidates and their parents, this news may not be what they expected. Every year, lakhs of students work hard and appear in this exam with the desire to become a doctor, but are unable to succeed due to competition.
If you are also one of them, then do not get upset or frustrated. Of course, this time can be disappointing for you, but this time is also a great opportunity to think, re-plan, and strengthen yourself. Remember that not being able to pass this exam is not the end of the career, but there are some other alternative ways as well.
Change the method, not the way
First of all, convince yourself that you have not failed the NEET exam. You just could not pass it this time. Also, you have not lost your ability but only lost an opportunity. Therefore, you need to change your method and not the way.
Second attempt
Failure means trying again. If becoming an MBBS doctor is your only goal and you are sure that you can improve your marks with another year of preparation, then you should do so. However, this decision should be taken only after assessing your strengths and weaknesses. Also, you have to pay attention to the quality of your mentor, teachers, and institutes preparing you. Be sure to check their success percentage in previous results.
Other online options are also available.
Many other medical courses are now available in online or hybrid mode in many reputed institutes. If you want, instead of taking a gap year, you can do these courses along with NEET preparation from some famous institutes like Amity University, the Government of India's SWAYAM platform, IGNOU University, and the American Academy of Professional Coders. Apart from this, excellent short-term, diploma, and certificate courses are also available on many private platforms.
Also, have a global mindset.
Students who fail in NEET exam also have the option of studying medicine from abroad. Many institutes abroad are approved by the World Health Organization (WHO) and other international medical organizations. After passing the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE), the degree from here becomes valid in India. However, take any decision only after consulting an expert.
