A brand new NATO aircraft appears to have vanished as it approached Russian airspace on what is believed to have been its first operational flight. The NATO RQ-4D Phoenix MAGMA10 reportedly sent an emergency "squawk" code of 7600 while over the Black Sea, indicating a potential loss of comms.

The aircraft is a newly rolled out unmanned flight believed to be kitted out with cutting edge technology that was only launched for the first time earlier this month. Tracking data last shows the aircraft heading towards the easteran area of the Black Sea.
