Meanwhile, the Embassy of Iran in India on Monday shared a photo and said that its state radio and television building had been attacked. The photo showed smoke billowing from a building. The embassy also said that the attack resulted in the deaths and injury of large number of Iranian journalists.
In a post on X, the Embassy said that the "criminal act" violates all international regulations. "A few minutes ago, in a brutal attack, the criminal #Zionist regime targeted the building of Iran's state radio and television (IRIB), killing and injuring a large number of Iranian journalists. We expect independent media in #India to condemn this criminal act, which clearly violates all international regulations," it said.

Al Jazeera’s Dorsa Jabari said that the state TV channel is the most widely watched in Iran, as foreign channels are banned.
"People often rely on satellite dishes to access international media, which is usually difficult and unreliable,” she explained. “As a result, this state channel remains the most accessible source of information for the general public.”
