Nintendo has announced plans to hold a new Direct presentation later this week, although it's not all good news.
The next will take place at 2pm BST UK time on the afternoon of June 18.
and new trailers for previously revealed games. Others provide a deep dive into just one game. The upcoming Nintendo Direct falls into the latter category, focusing on just one game, and running for only 15 minutes.

Indeed, according to the announcement on the Nintendo Today app, the June 18 Direct will focus exclusively on upcoming Switch 2 exclusive Donkey Kong Bananza.
"Tune in on Wednesday, June 18, for a live-streamed Donkey Kong Bananza Direct 6.18.2025 presentation, featuring roughly 15 minutes of information about the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 game," reads the official announcement.
The 2pm BST UK start time is confirmed when app users add the event to their calendar.
The Nintendo Direct will air on the official Nintendo YouTube channel, which Daily Express will add to this article once the link goes live.
While we would have liked a more far reaching Direct conference, it will be good to see more from one of the big Switch 2 exclusives for 2025.
Launching on July 17, Donkey Kong Bananza is an action adventure game with a big emphasis on destructible environments.
Donkey Kong will be able to smash through pretty much anything in his search for Golden Bananas that are also being hunted down by a mysterious group called VoidCo.
To combat the threat of the VoidCo group, Donkey Kong can punch enemies, roll through them, and even pick up huge rocks to throw and swing around his head.
The thing I'm looking forward to most is exploring the maps and searching for secrets. The ability to smash through walls and dig through floors results in a ton of hidden areas to discover.
The ability to surf on rocks is another reason why this could be the first post-launch killer app for the Switch 2.
