Government’s cyber warning
A cyber security awareness institution named Cyber Dost, which works under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, has posted a warning on Microblogging Platform X (East Twitter). In this, a police officer said that keeping mobile data on during calling can leak your words.
Apps can hear your words
The video clearly shows how some applications can access your microphone when the phone is turned on and listen to your personal conversation. This means that your privacy may be in danger. Therefore, it is very important to close mobile internet while calling.

Access microphone in google chrome block
- If you do not want any application to misuse your microphone, then you can block it by going to Google Chrome:
- First open Google Chrome.
- Tap on three dots on the top right.
- Go to Settings and click on Site Settings.
- There will be an option of microphone access, block it.
