Supermodels Gigi and Bella Hadid have introduced their 23-year-old half-sister, Aydan Nix, to the public. In a joint statement shared with the Daily Mail on May 29, the sisters confirmed that Aydan is the daughter of their father, Mohamed Hadid, and Terri Hatfield Dull, following a brief relationship between the two after Mohamed’s divorce from Yolanda Hadid in 2001.
Gigi and Bella explained that they first connected with Aydan in late 2023 and have welcomed her into their lives with warmth and support. According to their statement, Aydan was raised in Florida and believed another man to be her father until his passing when she was 19. After his death, she took a DNA test out of curiosity and discovered her biological link to the Hadid family.
The Hadid sisters shared that Aydan has since met their entire family, including Mohamed, and described the experience as a deeply meaningful and loving addition to their lives. They emphasized that their conversations with Aydan have been supportive and sincere, and that they are dedicated to protecting her as she finds her place in their world.
They also asked the public to respect Aydan’s wish for privacy, especially as she now lives in New York and works toward a future in the fashion industry, with aspirations to become a designer, stylist, and influencer.
According to Daily Mail, Mohamed Hadid has always known about Aydan but has not been involved in providing financial support. A source close to the family described their relationship as polite and respectful, though limited. Mohamed reportedly backed out of attending her recent graduation from Parsons School of Design just days before the event.
Aydan is the sixth known child of Mohamed Hadid, who also shares Gigi, Bella, and Anwar with Yolanda Hadid, and has two older daughters, Marielle and Alana, from his first marriage to Mary Butler.
