It's time for to put their foot on the transfer accelerator and start getting busy in the market. Their rivals around them - and in some cases below - have already been active, with Manchester City, Liverpool and Manchester United having all penned big-money deals.

Meanwhile, Arsenal, who are looking to end a 22-year wait for a league title, have so far stood still. That's unlikely to remain the case for the entirety of the summer, but exactly who the Gunners are able to lure to the Emirates Stadium remains up in the air.

But ahead of the second part of what should be a hectic transfer window, Express Sport have detailed exactly what Arsenal's dream summer might look like when it comes to incomings...

Viktor Gyokeres U-turn sees Arsenal land striker

Let's face it, there's a reason Arsenal had on their transfer wishlist and it's probably something to do with netting 52 goals in 54 appearances last season. Regardless of the league or the quality of opponent, that's an astronomical figure, with a move to a European giant likely to follow.

While Arsenal are for the Swedish marksman, as the window goes on, the Portuguese club's transfer demands could start to ease up. Forget Benjamin Sesko and Hugo Ekitike, landing Gyokeres would be the best outcome in the striker department this summer.

Rodrygo puts pen to paper on Arsenal move

A striker is a necessity if Arsenal want to compete, but they could also do with another winger option if they're intent on competing across multiple fronts and not just a depth piece either. A player who would certainly elevate Arsenal in the final third is two-time Champions League winner Rodrygo, who has been tipped to leave Real Madrid this summer.

How the Brazil international is used by new boss Xabi Alonso at the Club World Cup could be an indicator as to how likely an exit will be. If there's even a sniff of snagging the 24-year-old, it's a transfer Arsenal should be all over. Bukayo Saka, Gyokeres and Rodrygo is a world-class front three.

Martin Zubimendi deal gets over the line for £55m

Arsenal will be keen to get another one up on Real Madrid during this transfer window by fending off reported interest from Los Blancos for midfielder Martin Zubimendi. The Real Sociedad ace had looked like being a certain signing for Arsenal, but progress appears to have stalled in recent weeks.

It's claimed Arsenal still remain confident about securing a deal for the Euro 2024 winner, who has a £51m release clause in his contract. The Londoners will hand over £55m so that they can pay the fee in instalments. And by adding the highly-sought-after anchorman, Arsenal could find themselves with a side not only capable of challenging for the title, but winning it as well.
