Missing teen Pheobe Bishop's boyfriend made heartbreaking final promise before she died

Remains of , weeks after she disappeared on the way to the airport. Her devastated family shared their heartbreak, while her boyfriend is said to be traumatised by the loss and is left unable to carry out his promise made to Phoebe before she was tragically killed.

It is believed that in southern Queensland, , by her housemates on May 15 with the intention of catching a flight to Western Australia to visit her boyfriend, Levi. However, she never entered the terminal and was reported missing.

It's claimed she was murdered shortly after she was last seen and that her body was moved a number of times before it was found in bushland near Good Night Scrub National Park on June 6. The teenager's housemates, James Wood, 34, and Tanika Bromley, 33, were charged with her murder just hours before her body was found.

Heartbreakingly, Pheobe's boyfriend, Levi, had been planning a trip for his girlfriend, with a touching promise that he never got to carry out. Speaking on behalf of Levi, his father, Rick, shared with the that his son "absolutely adored Pheobe" and the couple would video call "all night, every night, falling asleep".

He added that they would tell each other who had been "sleep-talking" the following day, as Rick noted that it "was a bit cute".

Levi's father also shared that the couple had been looking forward to their reunion for weeks and had been busy making plans. Revealing his son's sweet promise to Pheobe, Rick said: "Levi had bought Pheobe a Canon camera worth $1,000 (around £737) because she wanted to get into photography.

"A week before she was supposed to land, Levi had packed the 4WD up with camping gear.

"He had planned a trip to Esperance in WA, camping on the beach with Pheobe." Rick said they had been "really excited".

He also mentioned that it was "heartbreaking" to see their "future together shattered into pieces." In addition, Rick detailed that his son had been left too traumatised by what happened to Pheobe to speak about it.

The loss of Pheobe is Levi's second tragedy within a few years, having lost his mum in a car crash in Bundaberg just four years ago. The tragic loss saw the family move to a different part of the country.

The Bishop family said officers on Monday confirmed the remains were Pheobe's. A statement reads: "Our family would like to thank everyone involved from information reported to searching and everyone that has sent heartwarming messages. We just would also like to have time to process and grieve this new information as a family and ask for privacy at this time."

The circumstances of the teenager's death remain under police investigation.
