Aaishvary Thackeray grandson of the late Shiv Sena supremo Balasaheb Thackeray is making his acting debut in Nishaanchi a film helmed by acclaimed director Anurag Kashyap. The announcement was made by Amazon MGM Studios through a motion teaser on Instagram revealing that Nishaanchi will hit theatres on September 19. From politics to the big screen While Aaishvary may come from a family deeply rooted in Indian politics his heart has long belonged to cinema. Sources say he’s spent the last five years rigorously training for this moment keeping his Bollywood ambitions under wraps. His journey into showbiz started behind the scenes — as an assistant director on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani back in 2015. Now he’s ready to take centre stage.
