
An actor from Telugu cinema who hails from an acting family he debuted as a child artist in the film Sisindri (1994) when he was an infant. Born on April 8 1994 he was featured in Sisindri released in September 94 for which he won a Filmfare Special Award. The movie was based on ‘Baby’s Day Out’. He made his debut as a lead actor with ‘Akhil’ (2015) which won him the Filmfare Best Male Debut. The action fantasy film directed by VV Vinayak was co-produced by actor Nithiin. The movie flopped big time as the budget of the movie was Rs 50 crore and it earned Rs 33.65 crore. We are talking about Akhil Akkineni the youngest son of actor Nagarjuna Akkineni and Amala Akkineni. Akhil was born in the USA and raised in Hyderabad has been a prominent actor in the industry for years progressing his family’s legacy. Furthermore the actor appeared in a lead role in the film Hello! a romantic action flick which was once again directed by Vikram Kumar. Over the years Akhil has continued to build his filmography with movies like ‘Mr. Majnu’ and ‘Most Eligible Bachelor’ the only film that has given him significant commercial success so far in 10 years. Akhils father Nagarjuna supported him by playing a villain role. He became ready to play the villain in his sons film in hopes of making it a success. He is none other than Nagarjuna. Reports suggest that Nagarjuna has made this decision for his son and is likely to play the antagonist in Lenin. However no official confirmation has been released yet. Akhil believes this film could be a turning point and a major hit for him. Akhil Akkineni got married recently to her longtime lover Zainab Ravdjee They both tied the knot on 6th June 2025 morning at the iconic Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad. Though the wedding was done in hush-hush it still saw the presence of some big names from the industry including Chiranjeevi Ram Charan and Prashanth Neel.
