The threat, issued by unidentified individuals, led to the immediate implementation of heightened security protocols across the airport premises.
Hyderabad Airport Bomb Threat
All airport employees and staff were safely evacuated as a precautionary measure following the alert. Teams from Telangana Special Protection Force (TSPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), and local police swung into action, launching extensive searches using sniffer dogs and bomb detection squads. Bomb disposal experts were also deployed to scan the facility for any suspicious items.
In addition, the airport authority activated its emergency response team to coordinate safety measures and manage the evolving situation on the ground. Flights were not immediately impacted, as Begumpet currently handles non-commercial and VIP flights rather than regular passenger operations.
