Qatar Airways has been named the best airline in the world at the 2025 Skytrax World Airline Awards, marking the ninth time the Qatari flag carrier has received this honor.
In addition to the top global ranking, Qatar Airways also won awards for Best Airline in the Middle East, World’s Best Business Class, and Best Business Class Airline Lounge.
The accolades come shortly after the airline placed a historic order for up to 210 widebody aircraft, including 130 Boeing Dreamliners and 30 777-9s, CNN reported.
Singapore Airlines claimed second place in this year’s rankings, followed by Cathay Pacific in third.
Emirates ranked fourth, while ANA All Nippon Airways rounded out the top five.
Turkish Airlines secured sixth place, with Korean Air in seventh, Air France in eighth, Japan Airlines in ninth, and China’s Hainan Airlines completing the top 10.
This year’s results were based on customer satisfaction surveys conducted with approximately 22.3 million passengers, covering over 325 airlines worldwide.
