On the popular Petty Revenge forum on , the woman explained her response in a post titled “My ex wouldn’t stop using my Netflix, so I changed the profile name to ‘CHEATER’ and in toddler settings”.

Elaborating, she said: “So yeah, my ex cheated and we broke up but apparently still felt entitled to my Netflix. Made a whole new profile like we weren’t even broken up.

“Watched our shows. On my dime. I didn’t yell, didn’t revoke access but renamed the profile to ‘Cheater’, switched it to toddler mode, just , no violence, and max parental locks. Even the avatar was a sad cartoon monkey.”

After seeing what the woman had done, her ex simply texted her one word: “Seriously?” To which, she replied: “Seriously.”

After this final contact between them both, she changed her Netflix password and then “blocked him”. On Reddit, she added: “Enjoy your cartoons, loser. I’m watching Bridgerton in peace.”

In the comments section beneath her post, people were keen to share their thoughts - and their own streaming-themed revenge stories.

One person quipped: “No Netflix 'n no chill.” Another said: “I approve of this”.

A third commented: “I would have let him ‘almost’ finish a season and then log him out and change password”.

Someone else declared: “This should be the default punishment for anyone that betrays their significant other.”

Another Redditor said: “Netflix and breaking up is a whole new genre of revenge stories by its own”.

And another shared: “I let my ex use my account for six months until winter set in where he lived and I heard from mutual friends he was snowed in. THEN I changed the password”.

Someone else added: “I annoyed the hell out of my ex by locking him out of the Amazon account. He was really financially irresponsible and I didn't want to risk him running up the credit card.

“I also didn't want him to know where I was living so locking him out prevented him from seeing my shipping address. He was p****d because he was in the middle of some shows.”
