Suspense crime, Digital Desk : OnePlus is building major anticipation for its “Nord universe” launch event on July 8, where it is set to unveil the new Nord 5 and Nord CE 5 smartphones. However, the company is adding a layer of mystery to the proceedings, strongly hinting that a third, unannounced product will also make its debut.

The speculation was ignited by a teaser post on the official OnePlus India X (formerly Twitter) account. The image featured three distinct notification icons, leading tech enthusiasts to believe that the launch event will be a triple-header.

While the two Nord phones are the main event, the rumor mill is buzzing about the identity of the surprise “one more thing.” The most likely candidates are a new audio product, such as the OnePlus Buds 4 or Buds 4 Pro, or a new wearable, like the highly anticipated OnePlus Watch 3.

As for the confirmed devices, leaks and reports have already painted a clear picture of what to expect. The OnePlus Nord 5 is widely expected to be a rebranded version of the OnePlus Ace 3V, which was launched in China. If true, it will be a performance-focused mid-ranger featuring the powerful Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset, a massive 5,500 mAh battery with blazing-fast 100W SUPERVOOC charging, and a vibrant 1.5K OLED display.

The OnePlus Nord CE 5, meanwhile, will be the successor to the popular Nord CE 4. It is tipped to be powered by the capable Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor and will likely feature a Full HD+ AMOLED display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and a large 5,500 mAh battery.

As the July 8th date approaches, all eyes will be on OnePlus to see if it delivers a trifecta of new gadgets and what surprise it has in store for its community of fans.
