Scarlett Johansson's Nostalgic Connection to Jurassic Park

Scarlett Johansson recently shared how her role in Jurassic World: Rebirth brought back fond memories of the iconic dinosaur film series. The actress, known for her role as Black Widow, reminisced about watching the original Jurassic Park in theaters at the age of 10.

“It left a lasting impression on me,” she expressed during the London premiere at Odeon Luxe Leicester Square.

Johansson added, “For the next thirty years, I dreamed of being part of a Jurassic film in any way possible.” The franchise, originally conceived by author Michael Crichton, has led to numerous films, merchandise, and video games.

Directed by Gareth Edwards, Jurassic World: Rebirth follows a group of experts on a mission to a secret island that houses the original Jurassic Park's research facility. Among the team are Johansson and Jonathan Bailey, who are tasked with collecting DNA samples from three dinosaurs to facilitate a crucial medical advancement. This Universal Pictures release is set to hit theaters on July 2. Rupert Friend, another cast member, described this chapter of the franchise as thrilling, stating, “I enjoy adventure and the excitement of the unexpected.” Edwards, a renowned science fiction filmmaker, admitted that the weight of expectations for the film's success only struck him upon arriving at the premiere. “It’s all very real now. It feels a bit surreal, to be honest. I’m still processing it,” he remarked.
