News Desk. India’s leading telecom company Vodafone Idea (VI) has made up its mind to challenge Allen Musk’s company Starlink. VI has decided to mix with satellite best broadband network provider AST-Spacemobile.

The aim of a partnership between the two is to deliver mobile networks to areas of India where there is no connectivity yet. Vodone Idea said in a statement released, “VI and AST Spasmobile Inc. have announced a strategic partnership to expand mobile connectivity in un areas of India”, however, has not been revealed when the company will start service.

AST Spacemobile, a company that compete with SpaceX of Allen Musk, has claimed that it is creating the world’s first space-based cellular broadband network, which is directly accessible by a smartphone and has earlier made test calls using this technology.

In 2023, the firm announced that it had completed space-based 4G calls on an unnecessary mobile phone for the first time. After this, 10 ABPS download tests and 5G voice and calls in September. ST-space mobile company has the support of major global telecom companies including AT&T, Verizon, Google and Vodhone PLC and its agreements with more than 45 mobile network operators worldwide.

Under the agreement signed between the two companies, where the AST satellite will develop and operate the group, Vodafone Idea will handle spectrum use, terrestrial integration and market access in India. It may be noted that the Starlink of SpaceX owned by Allen Musk is going to be launched in India. Starlink has decided to work with Jio and Airtel. In such a situation, Vodofen Idea will challenge from Starlink to Jio-Etail.
