Salman Khans latest film Sikandar did not achieve significant success at the box office and received a lukewarm response on OTT platforms as well. However the actor is now preparing for a new phase in his career where he will star in a patriotic military action drama. Following the mixed response to his previous action thriller he has finalized the lead actress for his upcoming project. Salman Khan to Star Opposite Chitrangada Singh Salman Khans next film is centered around the Galwan Valley conflict between Indian and Chinese soldiers in 2020. According to a report from India Today actress Chitrangada Singh who is currently celebrating the success of her recent venture Housefull 5 has secured the lead role opposite Salman Khan. This marks the first time the two actors will share the screen together. Chitrangada is recognized for her outstanding performance in Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi and has made a name for herself in mainstream cinema with films like Desi Boyz Inkaar and the item song Aao Raja from Gabbar Is Back. About the Untitled Project The untitled film is reportedly based on the Galwan chapter of Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singhs book Indias Most Fearless 3. Salman is set to portray Colonel B. Santosh Babu the commanding officer of the 16 Bihar Regiment who led Indian troops during the Galwan clash. As per Pinkvilla principal photography is expected to begin in July 2025 with a planned tight shooting schedule of 70 days. The film is anticipated to be completed by October. Currently Salman is undergoing training to prepare for action sequences and to accurately portray his role as a soldier in the film.  This project can be considered as one of ther most crucial projects for Salman Khan as it marks first time he portrays a real-life character in a film. Although he has previously worn a military uniform in Heroes and Jai Ho but his roles have been somewhat limited. Helmed by Apoorva Lakhia known for Shootout at Lokhandwala Mission Istanbul this film is based on true events and features high-octane action that promises to resonate with audiences.
