
The Indian Under-19 cricket team is set to embark on a tour of England under the captaincy of Ayush Mhatre.
The squad includes several exciting talents, notably Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who impressed during the recent IPL season. Before leaving for the tour, Ayush Mhatre had a memorable meeting with India’s senior team captain Rohit Sharma, who gave the young skipper a heartfelt parting gift.

Ayush Mhatre met Rohit Sharma at the Indian skipper's residence in Mumbai ahead of the England tour.
During their interaction, Rohit presented a signed bat to Ayush as a token of encouragement and support. The moment was captured in a photo that Mhatre later shared on social media, where the two can be seen wearing matching black T-shirts and smiling for the camera.
Rohit also placed a warm, encouraging hand on Mhatre’s shoulder in the picture.
Ayush captioned the post on Instagram with the words: “A bat, a blessing, and a memory of a lifetime — thank you Rohit da.” The post quickly garnered attention and admiration from fans across the cricketing community.

The India U-19 team’s tour will officially begin on June 24 with a 50-over warm-up match. Following this, the team will play a five-match ODI series and then a two-match red-ball series against England U-19.
