The highly awaited five-match Test series between England and India is all set to kick off on Friday at Headingley, Leeds. With the series beginning a new chapter for the two teams, anticipation reaches an all-time high. India, led by captain Shubman Gill and vice-captain Rishabh Pant, are entering a new chapter as senior veterans Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have retired from the game. England, on the other hand, are still a force to be reckoned with at home, with a settled squad underpinned by Ben Stokes and Joe Root.

The fight is set to be an exciting contest, with each team boasting first-class lineups and the conditions set to test even the best players. Fans across the globe are eager to catch a glimpse of who will star brightest in this blockbuster series.

Former off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, who hung up his boots in international cricket last year, has made his series predictors on his YouTube channel. Going by Ashwin, if England bowler Chris Woakes plays all five games, he's a sure bet to finish as the series' top wicket-taker.

Here is what Ravichandran Ashwin said on his YouTube channel

“If Chris Woakes plays all five matches, I would say he would be the leading wicket-taker of the series, or maybe even Shoaib Bashir,”

“From India, since Bumrah will not play all matches, I think Siraj will be the leading wicket-taker,”

“KL Rahul could be the leading run-scorer but as he’s opening, he might have a few tough first innings. So I will go with Rishabh Pant — he can only get himself out,”

Both India and England are full of talent in all departments. England's top order has the experience of Root and Zak Crawley, the talent of Duckett, and the all-round captaincy of Ben Stokes. Their bowling attack has talented pacer like Brydon Carse and Shoaib Bashir, while experienced campaigners like Woakes stand by to make their mark.

On India's side, openers Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal will attempt to offer good starts and Gill and Pant will be the support of the middle order. With , Mohammed Siraj, and Jasprit Bumrah as their pace attack, India possess the firepower to exploit English batsmen even in their domestic conditions.
