Sky viewers are hooked on a new true crime docuseries that is said to be a 'wild ride' full of 'nonstop twists'.

The Mortician can now be streamed by those with Sky Documentaries or via NOW with an Entertainment pass.

HBO's latest true crime sensation, The Mortician, is available in a three-part documentary series.

Viewers are taken on a journey through the dark history of LA's most notorious family-run mortuary.

In the early 1980s, David Sconce assumed control of the Lamb Funeral Home, launching into appalling and inhumane practices to boost profits.

Featuring interviews with the main man himself, David Sconce claims filmmakers could ask him 'anything'. The insights come not just from Sconce, but also from former employees, journalists including Ashley Dunn and David Geary, victims and Sconce's ex-wife, reports the Manchester Evening News.

The unfolding true story of The Mortician is like nothing you've ever seen. It confronts viewers with the inevitable fate we all share, regardless of our beliefs about death.

Though it's a new release for British audiences, US viewers have been able to watch this series for some time, and they've not held back online.

One viewer was unexpectedly captivated, sharing their surprise on the web: "Watched this on a whim. I had no clue what this what about but an EXCELLENT documentary with nonstop twists."

Social media has been abuzz with reactions to HBO Max's latest series, The Mortician, with one viewer admitting: "I don't know what to even to watch anymore, but I just started watching this series called The Mortician on HBO max and let me tell you, it's the most disturbing thing I've seen."

Another was quick to praise the show, saying: "This Mortician doc on HBO is actually so good. Every time something happens I think, 'this is the craziest thing that could happen with a mortuary' and then something else happens."

The series finale of The Mortician has also sparked intense discussions, with The Hollywood Reporter even stating: "The Mortician had HBO's most Jinx-like ending since, well, The Jinx."

Comments from viewers have ranged from "The Mortician documentary on HBO is bone chilling" to "The Mortician was a wild ride. A wild ride indeed."

One particular reflection stood out as someone noted: "This story is insane! What's telling to me is, David had three immediate family members all ask his fiance if she was sure she wanted to marry him, on the day of their wedding?!"

The Mortician is streaming on Sky Documentaries and NOW.
