Weather Update- IMD issued heavy rain alert, know the condition of the country

Heavy rain warning issued by IMD and Skymet

Jharkhand: IMD has issued a red alert for extremely heavy rains in many parts of the state.

Central and Northeast India: Heavy to very heavy rains are expected in large parts of these areas.

Other rain forecast states:

Light to moderate rain: Likely over Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, coastal Karnataka, West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, East Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur and Mizoram.

Heavy rain likely over select areas of these states as the weather system strengthens.

Delhi weather update

The monsoon has not officially arrived in Delhi, but pre-monsoon rains have brought temporary relief.

Light to moderate rain is predicted in the capital today, with thundershowers and dust storms likely by evening.

Heavy rain with stormy conditions is also forecast at night.

The sky will remain cloudy throughout the day.

Cyclonic Activity and South India Alert

Cyclonic winds may affect the weather pattern in Delhi, Gujarat and parts of South India, increasing the chances of thunderstorms and heavy rains.
