International Yoga Day: Patanjali Yogpeeth is running a public awareness campaign in Kurukshetra for the 11th International Yoga Day. Under the guidance of Baba Ramdev, the main event will be held on June 21 at Brahma Sarovar.
For the 11th International Yoga Day, Patanjali Yogpeeth has already begun preparations. In the historic land of Kurukshetra, Haryana, Patanjali is conducting a large-scale public awareness campaign to promote yoga as a way of life. Under the guidance of yoga guru Baba Ramdev, and with the support of the Haryana Yoga Commission and the AYUSH Department, this campaign is working towards making the main event on June 21 at Brahma Sarovar grand and historic.
The national coordinator of Patanjali Yoga Samiti, Bhai Rakesh Kumar 'Bharat', said, "A massive participation of yoga enthusiasts from across the country is expected in this year's event. Despite the intense heat, volunteers are going door-to-door in villages and homes to spread awareness about the benefits of yoga. Yoga training sessions, community programs, and invitation drives are being conducted in areas like Pipli, Shahabad, Pehowa, Thanesar, and Ladwa to encourage people to join the main event."
Morning Camps Attract Public Attention
He further informed, "Yoga sessions have been organised in the district's schools, community centres, and public places. Special morning camps in villages like Angrawali Dhamshala near Rodi Shahidan and Ismailabad have drawn people's attention. These sessions emphasise the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of yoga, such as a drug-free and disease-free life."
The Campaign Also Reflects Kurukshetra’s Unity
To encourage women's participation, special sessions have been conducted by sadhvis and female trainers in areas like Shahabad, Jind, and Sushant City. Social media, shop-to-shop campaigns, and awareness programs in schools have further expanded this initiative. Senior citizens, youth groups, and local spiritual leaders are also motivating communities to participate in the event at Brahma Sarovar. This campaign not only highlights the importance of yoga but also showcases Kurukshetra’s unity in promoting a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
