This case is of a cafe in the East of Kailash, where the girl had called the young man to meet. Sharing his ordeal on Reddit, the young man said that he went on a date with only Rs 3,000. As soon as she reached the cafe, the girl ordered Jagerbomb, Red Bull, and other expensive shots without asking. When the bill came, the young man was shocked. The total amount of the bill was Rs 11,958! When he asked the girl how much she would pay, she said, “I have only Rs 100” and fled from the spot.

The cafe staff threatened him with police and a fine.
When the young man talked about splitting the bill, the cafe owner started threatening him. The cafe owner threatened him saying that if he did not pay the bill, the police would be called and he would have to pay a fine of Rs 10,000. After hearing all this, the young man immediately called his friend, who reached the spot and after a lot of debate, the matter was settled for Rs 2,500.

People called it an old method of scam.
As soon as the young man's post appeared on Reddit, people called it a well-planned scam. Users wrote that in these cases the girl and the cafe staff are in cahoots with each other and such scams have happened before. Especially in cafes that are not of any popular brand. Some people said that many cafes in Delhi and Mumbai are doing similar fraud.

A new way of pickpocketing in the name of love
The method of this scam is very clever. The girl first makes friends on a dating app and then invites the boy to meet at a particular cafe. As soon as she reaches there, she orders expensive drinks and food without showing the menu. Later when the bill comes, the boy's pocket is looted. If the money is not paid, the staff and the girl together threaten the police and fine.
