Any Netflix fans who love true crime dramas can watch a new series this weekend. North Shore, which originally aired in 2023, has now landed on the streaming service. The gripping thriller series, set in Australia, stars Downton Abbey star Joanne Froggatt and Game of Thrones icon John Bradley and consists of six episodes. It starts off at the stunning backdrop of Sydney Harbour, and viewers at home follow a team of British and Australian detectives. When the body of a young British woman washes up on the shore, there are several twists and turns as the investigators attempt to solve the complex murder mystery.
The series also includes other famous faces, such as Kirsty Sturgess of Young Rock, Claire Lovering of Home and Away, and Chris Alosio of Surviving Summer.
On the Netflix streaming website, the show is described as "When a UK minister's daughter dies mysteriously in Sydney, a London detective must team up with his Australian counterpart to unravel the mystery."
The gripping drama was only made available on ITV and ITVX earlier this year, in January, and it was dubbed by fans as a "replacement" show after the long-running series Vera ended after 14 years.
Joanne plays Abigail Crawford, the leading role, while John plays British detective Max Wylie. Throughout the series, both sides uncover a conspiracy that leads to international political consequences.
When it landed on ITV, many fans praised the show for its captivating and nail-biting storyline. One person said on X, "How brilliant was #NorthShore on @ITV? There were a Couple of amazing twists in the last episode. Can we have more, please?"
