
Veteran Pakistani actress Ayesha Khan was found dead in her apartment in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 7, Karachi, nearly a week after her passing. She was 76. According to several local Pakistani media outlets, police officials stated that Ayesha had been living alone for several years and had remained out of the public eye. Her body was discovered in a decomposed state, raising concerns about her isolation and deteriorating health in recent years.Reportedly, her body has been shifted to Karachi's Jinnah Hospital for further examination to determine the cause and time of death. Meanwhile, police have also launched an investigation and are questioning neighbours and relatives for any leads or information surrounding her final days.According to reports, the police were alerted by neighbours who noticed a foul smell coming from the actress' residence. Officials quickly arrived at the scene and shifted the body to hospital for medico-legal formalities. Following the examination, the body was moved to the Edhi Foundation's mortuary in Sohrab Goth.Ayesha, born on November 22, 1948, was a respected name in the Pakistani entertainment industry and the elder sister of legendary television actress Khalida Riyasat. Though she had stepped away from the spotlight, her contributions to television in earlier decades are fondly remembered by fans.Several Pakistani celebrities mourned the actress' death on social media platforms.Ayesha has been a part of several popular Pakistani television shows like Akhri Chattan, Tipu Sultan: The Tiger Lord, Dehleez, Daraarein, Bol Meri Machli, Saibaan, and Ek Aur Aasman.
