Honda’s Activa Electric is cheaper, company reduced battery subscription cost

Technology Technology: �Honda Motorcycle & Scooter (HMSI), one of the big two-wheeler companies, launched the electric version of its popular scooter Activa earlier this year. The cost of running it may be reduced. The company has reduced the cost of battery swap subscription for this.

The company has stated in a post on the social media platform X that the new subscription plan of the battery Swap for Activa E has been introduced. Its cost is Rs 678 (GST additional). Earlier, the minimum cost of battery swap subscription for Activa Electric was Rs 1,999 (GST additional). In the Lite Plan of HMSI, customers will get the facility to change 12 battery per month. However, if the customers swaps more batteries than this limit, it will have to pay Rs 180 per battery.

The sales of Activa Electric have been less since the launch. A major reason for this is not the option of home charging for this electric scooter. The design of its electric version is completely different from petrol -powered Activa. It has turn indicators on both sides with LED headlamps. Along with this, LED DRL has been given in the front of Activa Electric. Activa E is visible in its rear. There is a battery system that can be swapped under the seat of this electric scooter with two batteries of 1.5 kwh. The range of Activa Electric’s single charge is about 102 kilometers. It has three riding mode – Standard, Sport and Econ. With this, the company also introduced the QC1 electric scooter. Its design is similar to Activa Electric. This electric scooter has a 1.5 kwh battery pack. The range in single charge of QC 1 is about 80 kilometers.

The range of the company’s Activa Electric’s single charge is about 102 kilometers. It has an advanced features like Honda Roadsync Duo, so that riders can connect their smartphone to Bluetooth and make phone calls as well as use nevegation. Activa E competes with Electric Scooters of Ola Electric, TVS Motor and Bajaj Auto.
