Though the actress came from a background where no one was part of the industry Juhi made a name for herself. Today she is a prominent actress in Bollywood. However do you know that Juhis sister-in-law is also an actress? As beautiful as Juhi her sister-in-law Madhoo Shah is a well-known Indian actress who has worked across Hindi Tamil Telugu Malayalam and Kannada cinema. She stepped into Bollywood in 1991 with the action-romance blockbuster Phool Aur Kaante opposite Ajay Devgn. Just a year later Madhoo shot to fame with the Tamil romantic thriller Roja where she starred alongside Arvind Swamy. Over the years Madhoo became a household name in the industry. However many people dont know that Madhoo shares a close relationship with Hema Malini — she is her cousin — and her father was a producer. In an interview Madhoo revealed she had to face several challenges despite coming from a background of artists. While speaking to Bollywood Bubble Madhoo shared “My father was a producer. I am from Hema Malini’s family; she is my cousin. My mother was a dancer. My whole background was around dance music and films. But whatever I did I did it myself. First of all it was a struggle that I had to tell my father that I wanted to become an actor because he wanted me to become a doctor. Second I did not have support and I did not have confidence. I felt that if I told people that I wanted to become an actor people would laugh. I had to get out of self-doubt. I did not even know how to approach someone for work. All this was a big struggle for me. First of all I got rejection.” She added “My father was a producer so he had a film Awaargi which had Anil Kapoor Govinda and Meenakshi. I had gone for the song recording of that film. When a producer saw me there he told my father that he wanted to cast me in a film. But my father got angry about it. But then I told my father to say yes. Then he got me trained. But when the film started after four days only he felt that I was not ready and I was replaced.” When Madhoo came to know about her replacement her heart broke. However she did not lose hope and turned out to be one of the most well-known actresses of the 90s.
