
Actor R Madhavan and his wife Sarita have leased out a co-owned residential apartment in Mumbai's upscale Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) for a monthly rent of Rs 6.50 lakh. As per property registration documents accessed via real estate platform SquareYards.com, the agreement was officially registered in June 2025.
The apartment, located in Signia Pearl, BKC, spans 388.55 sq. m. (approximately 4,182 sq. ft.) and was jointly acquired by the couple in July 2024 for Rs 17.50 crore.
The rental deal includes a hefty security deposit of Rs 39 lakh. The agreement was stamped with a duty of Rs 47,000 and a registration fee of Rs 1,000.

While the rent is fixed at Rs 6.50 lakh per month in the first year, it will see a 5 per cent hike in the second year to around Rs 6.83 lakh, taking the total rental value to approximately Rs 1.60 crore over the full term.
This translates to a gross rental yield of about 4.5 per cent in the first year, rising to 4.7 per cent in the second.

BKC is one of Mumbai's most sought-after commercial hubs, housing several multinational firms, consulates, and financial institutions. Though predominantly commercial, the area and its vicinity have seen significant growth in high-end residential developments, thanks to robust infrastructure and connectivity.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Madhavan will next be seen in Kajol-starrer Maa. However, he has a cameo in the film. He also has Aap Jaisa Koi with Fatima Sana Shaikh in the pipeline. The romantic film will release on Netflix in July 2025. The actor was last seen in Kesari Chapter 2 with Akshay Kumar and Ananya Panday.
