Bollywood’s Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan has once again returned to the big screen, this time with the film ‘Stars Zameen Par’, which is considered to be the spiritual sequel to his 2007 superhit ‘Tare Zameen Par’. But after seeing the initial figures, it seems that the film has not been able to make any blast at the box office on the first day. The audience may have enthusiasm about the film, but in terms of earnings, it is also behind Aamir’s previous film ‘Lal Singh Chadha’.
Earnings did not reach ₹ 10 crore on the first day
According to the latest report of Saclink.com, ‘Stars Bhoomi Par’ earned a total of ₹ 8.87 crore till 8 pm on Friday evening. This figure is considered disappointing in terms of Aamir Khan’s stardom. The Hindi occupancy of the film was also very low on the first day- only 17.73%.
Occupancy in morning show: 16.74%
Afternoon: 16.25%
Light improvement in evening shows: 20.21%
Weak start with ‘Lal Singh Chadha’
Aamir Khan’s film ‘Lal Singh Chadha’, released in 2022, collected ₹ 11.7 crore on Opening Day. Although the film faced criticism, the first day’s earnings were more than ‘Stars Bhumi Par’. In such a situation, the question is arising whether Aamir will be able to achieve his lost box office magic again through this film?
A look at the story and the starcast
‘Stars Bhoomi Par’ is directed by R. S. Prasanna The film is the official remake of the Spanish film ‘Campeones’. 10 new faces have been launched in the film, including Aarus Dutta, Gopi Krishna Verma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra and Simran Mangeshkar.
Critics’ opinion
According to media reports, the film wrote about the film- Overall, ‘Stars Bhumi Par’ is a heart-eashed film, which should be seen in a crowded theater. It may not be able to show its predecessor -like glow, but these stars have a different light that leaves the screen.
What is the way forward?
Now the whole daromdar will be on Saturday and Sunday earnings. If the Word of Mouth was positive and the family reached the audience in large numbers, the film can return to the box office. But at the moment, this film of Aamir Khan’s career is standing at a delicate turn.
